Chronotype, Daytime Sleepiness, and Related Factors Effects on Skipping Classroom among Medical Students in Tabuk

Background: Lecture attendance is very critical in medical practice. Good sleep hygiene crucial for academic performance. Therefore, this research aimed to assess the relationship between daytime sleepiness and chronotype, skipping classroom.
 Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among Students Tabuk from April 2022 July 2022. Three hundred thirty-four students were randomly selected. standardized questionnaire based on scale, morningness–eveningness questionnaire, risk classrooms used. The detailed their sleeping habits two weeks then responded distributed directly by researchers who attended solve any difficulties.
 Results: Out of 334 students,74.7% skipped classroom last month. most common reason absence lecturer reading slide show (72.8%), followed late lectures (67.8%), lecturers’ presentation skills (65.6%), lack interest (57.9%). Daytime evident 40.1% associated with (Wald, 3.86, P-value, 0.049, 95% CI, 0.19–0.91). majority intermediate chronotypes (66.4%), evening (24.2%) no association classrooms.
 Conclusion: Skipping City, Saudi Arabia; causes lecture timing, sleepiness, skills. Most an chronotype that not absence. Further larger multi-center studies are needed.
